العربيّة AMI is licensed as a private career school under Chapter 3332 of the Ohio Revised Code and complies with the regulations set by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools (OSBCCS). This licensure ensures that AMI meets the requirements and maintains compliance with the applicable laws and regulations governing career schools in Ohio. Furthermore, AMI is approved by the Ohio State Board of Nursing (OBN) under 4723-5, Ohio Administrative Code. This approval recognizes AMI’s adherence to the standards and guidelines set by the OBN, affirming the institute’s commitment to providing quality nursing education and training.
AMI’s evolution as an educational institution is noteworthy as it was approved by the Ohio State Board of Nursing under 4723-5, Ohio Administrative Code. The organization that became AMI began operations as an allied health training program in December 2013. Initially, the organization offered a State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) program until December 12, 2020, the STNA program was offered under an entity called Academia Nurse Aide Program. However, as the Academia Nurse Aide Program operated in the same space as Academia Medical Institute, AMI decided to close the Academia Nurse Aide Program entity and discontinue the STNA program to meet ABHES regulations preventing another business from operating on the same premises as an accredited institution. Academia Nurse Aide Program taught out the final cohort of STNA students, who completed December 11, 2020.

JeraldineThank you AMI for accepting me and for being the foundation of my nursing career. It was definitely an exciting experience for me moving from California and making a new life here in Ohio. Not only have I had a great education from AMI, I have learned about a lot of different cultures and appreciate that AMI was very inclusive of different cultures when teaching us about patient care. Be prepared to work hard and never be afraid to ask questions. This is not the type of school where you can just miss assignments or show up late and it will all be okay. No, this is a nursing school that truly prepares individuals to enter into a career as nursing professionals. It was tough, but the instructors were always willing to help out students whenever they needed. Shout out to Dr. Elnaggar for being the best A&P instructor. To my other instructors and staff Mr. Ali, Dr. Gates, Dr. Tiya, Dr. Crayton, Professor Pauline, Professor Carol, Professor Jan, Mrs. Rosemary and Elfreda thank you all so much for your hard work and dedication to your students. AMI really helped build me into not just a nurse, but a GOOD nurse. Since graduating and passing my NCLEX on my first try I have so far received a handful of job offers from OhioHealth, Mount Carmel, and Nationwide Children's to name a few. I truly feel that every graduate that walks out of AMI will have a good nursing foundation along with strong morals and ethics. I am proud to be a part of the AMI LPN alumni and recommend this school for anyone interested in starting their nursing career. Nurses rock!

I definitely learned everything I needed to be successful in completing the program and passing the NCLEX in 75 questions my first time. I made lifelong friends on this journey (Hey cohort 10). Mr. Ali, the owner is a very nice man and very easy to communicate with if there is any concerns about anything. Lena, the school’s heartbeat is the most amazing office administrator ever! She is the reason, I chose this school. I had a million questions to ask before I attended and she stayed on the phone and answered every question thoroughly. In my eyes, she went over and beyond as I asked her questions about living locations in Columbus because I was moving from Michigan.
